Racism in America

Today I am tackling a touchy subject, racism. First lets define two things. Racism is the first and the second is Reverse Discrimination. Racism is defined by Wikipedia as the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. Reverse Discrimination is defined by Wikipedia as denial of equal protection of the laws and as discrimination against members of a dominant or majority group in order to promote members of a minority or consistently disadvantaged group. Is racism the driving force behind protests against President Obama's policies? Is there truly such a strong, UNSPOKEN mind you, vein of racism running through this country that these millions of people turn out to the Tea Parties and protests nationally under the guise of wanting to protect our country but really just want Obama out merely because he is black?

I submit to you that anyone throwing out unfounded accusations of Racism are truly the perpetrators or Reverse discrimination. I was at the Tea Party on April 15th in Atlanta, Ga. I took many pictures over the 8 hours I was in front of the capital. I was unable, and not for lack of paying attention, but UNABLE to find a single sign or hear a single remark alluding to any Racism being expressed there. President Jimmy Carter came out yesterday and stated on an NBC News interview, "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man." Now granted this quote is coming from arguably the most inept president in the history of our country. It is however a shining example of the race card being played in order to discredit opponents of the socialist agenda that is being rushed through congress right now.

I have a great analogy for this situation. Remember as a child, a friend would say something to you that you knew was true but was hurtful? How did you retaliate? Not by hitting back with a true statement but by hitting where you knew it would hurt the most, "Yeah well, your momma is the meanest person ever!!!" Knowing their momma was the sweetest lady on the block who always made cookies and Kool-aid for everyone, but you wanted to hit them where it hurt. Well, race is where it hurts, these libs know it so they hit where it hurts when they have no intelligent retort. We have come so far in race relations that we as a country elected a black man to the highest office in our nation. Which I think is long overdue and AWESOME. I, and many others are not automatically racist simply because we disagree with his views. If we were all at the Tea Parties for the promotion of a racist agenda, how do you explain the overwhelming majority of the signs being not anti-Obama but promoting fiscal conservatism? Is it all just subterfuge so that we can further a darker agenda? I think not. If you are looking for acts of subterfuge, look no further than those playing the race card every time anyone disagrees with our president.

I don't want to fight a battle about racism. I want it to be dropped except in cases that merit the idea. For example, the situation in Kentucky where 2 young white men were plotting to assassinate Senator Obama, that was a clear case of racism as they were neo-nazi idealists. That thankfully is the exception not the rule in our country. We have come so far, we need to remember the words once again of President Lincoln - "Towering genius disdains a beaten path. It seeks regions hitherto unexplored. " Let's travel the unexplored path of true equality in our country and work together for the right solutions to turn our country towards greatness once again.

Wow... What planet am I on?

We began our journey in this country as a group of "misfits" who dreamed of being able to practice and express our views unfettered in a free country, whether we agreed with the ruling parties or not. We accomplished this goal to it's full fruition on July 4th, 1776. Our founding fathers decided that there were certain "truths" that were, and I love this one, "self evident"! Man that gives me a shiver! So much of what I write seems "SELF EVIDENT" to me. I guess if it were really that evident, we wouldn't have well educated judges and political leaders so blind to it. We have lost the "unalienable right" to such things as "liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Just as one of our greatest presidents stated, "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." - Lincoln. We as citizens have allowed this to become the reality of our government. Isn't it amazing how insightful some of our leaders have been throughout history? Ben Franklin said, "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." This quote is directly referenced by the actions of our former president Bush. The patriot act, while possibly beginning with good intentions, was part of the beginning of our country's willingness to let our government run rampant.

Make no mistake, I am not a Bush supporter, nor am I an Obama supporter. I am a supporter of our country. The USA needs more citizens who are focused on her well-being rather than their political stance. If a label is required, I consider myself at this point a Libertarian. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government" - Declaration of Independence. Have we forgotten what our country was founded on? YES WE HAVE, and we are unfortunately being reminded slowly but surely in a most unpleasant way. Let's compare how our government today is holding up against the responsibilities it was designed for.


In our country, you are now taxed for the purpose of supporting those who legislators decide are worthy. Our money has been doled out to schmucks on Wall Street, in Detroit, Mi., and many other companies in many cities all chosen based on personal bias of the very members of congress who voted to get the money from us. the word for this is stealing. dictionary.com defines stealing as the act of to taking (the property of another or others) without permission or right. Now, we weren't asked if we wanted to fund a bail-out, so there goes the argument for permission. Now the question is do they have the right? Now I am not a scholar of the Constitution by any means, but I was unable to find any passage in it that gave the government the right to take our money to further their own interests or the interests of anyone other than providing security to maintain our FREEDOM as a country. How many people believe General Motors had to survive the recession in order to secure our freedom? I would guess you might get Obama to argue that point but not too many others,(maybe not even Pelosi).

What about the things that are being championed now pertaining to our health care system? While our health care system has its flaws, it is the best in the world. Obama finally made a concession in his health care speech the other night,(however subtle), that socialization is not the answer. He conceded that the best answer is to reform the current system, but then went on to destroy his credibility by suggesting that the rest of us pay for health care for those who cannot afford it by cutting spending in other places to compensate for it. Sometimes I just feel like my head will explode the more I think about the direction we are headed as a country.

In short, we need to start holding our leaders accountable for encroaching on our liberties and reaching far beyond the rights granted them by our nations founding documents. Let not the immortal words of our wise founding fathers fall on deaf ears! Stand up Americans! THIS IS OUR COUNTRY! Take it back.

I am begining to feel once again the wearing down of my drive and fight because it seems Mr. Obama makes strides daily to change our country into everything she has stood against for so long. I was so convinced at election that the people of this great nation would have the political saavy to see through his manipulative and deceptive ways, man was I wrong.

So, here we are again, living in a great country under attack by THE person elected to govern her under the principles of the constitution,(which he has openly said he holds in contempt), while he not so quietly assassinates her values. "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation", says Mr. Obama. Who the heck is "We", Mr. Obama? I am a member of this nation that has considered itself christian since inception of our constitution. I did not stand up and fight for a nation that has no moral compass, or any ideals upon which the foundation has been built.

At the risk of being considered a far right extremist, I must beg to differ with Mr. Obama. there are countless accounts of past leaders refering to this wonderful nation as Christian, because that is where we derived our ideals from. That is not to say that everyone should not have the right to practice or not practice any religion or lack thereof within the constraints of the law of the land. I want everyone to be free to follow their hearts. That is what we were truly founded upon, the belief that the government has no right to infringe on our personal lives as long as we live it with no harm to others. Last time I checked it has been "one nation, under God", not one nation under A god. That reference is to the Christian God, Mr. Obama.

FYI... While he "faithfully" attended church prior to election day,and called himself Christian, since being elected, he has yet to so much as enter a church. Seems odd to me for a man who openly professed to be a Christian during campaigning.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." That day changed everything. I guess we should not expect this statement to mean any more than others he has made since he won, but one can hope. I mean you would have to be foolish to expect him to hold the constitution in high regard when his prior staements were to the contrary. Mr. Obama said that the constitution reflects a "fundamental flaw" in this country that continues to this day. He has no intention or desire to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States", rather he would see it changed to reflect ideals of socialists in order to create a better "balance of wealth". Man, he scares me to no end. In my previous blog I layed out how I believe that the Dems orchestrated the whole AIG bailout bonus scandal in order to further instigate class wafare. I now believe he is traveling the globe demonizing us as a people and trying to convince everyone he can change us into a more globally acceptable nation in order to enlist the help of foreign leaders when he gets the inevitable backlash against socialism.

"We can create a modern international community", were his words while in Turkey. Last I checked we were virtually the only entirely free country left in the world, our economy until recently has been the crutch the socialist countries of the world have needed to keep them afloat. Now that we are deep in this financial crisis, the entire world is declining around us. while that is to be expected, we must take careful note of what it took to put us in the powerful position that we are in today,(at least have been in). The free market is what made us such a prosperous nation and efforts to give money through our banks to unworthy borrowers has bankrupted our country. Those actions were forced by our Democrat controlled congress. The sub-prime lending was forced upon our banks by the hand of our government. I do not hold former President bush completely blameless. He had an opportunity, perhaps even a duty to stop these laws from becoming reality. The problem is our political system.

It has become so corrupt that in order to ensure that the labors of the president are fruitful, he is forced at times to allow congress to have their way on issues he may not agree with. I am sure that in order to be successful in keeping us secure, via the patriot act etc., President Bush made concessions to the congress in areas perhaps he did not have the forsight to understand the ramifications of.

Mr. Obama has the luxury now of having a congress in the palm of his hand.

The times are changin... or are they?

It's been a while since my last post. I have been disillusioned and lost in the surreal America that helped our current president get elected. We have evolved almost overnight into a country that has forgotten about the responsibilities of our government and focuses purely on popularity rather than competency or integrity when considering individuals to fill positions that will shape our future.

Our government passed a bill that was literally not read by anyone in the House of Representatives, The senate or even the White House. Now, at this point I almost feel like the question I am about to ask has no meaning in the English language anymore because it is ignored so much but here it goes. HOW CAN ANYONE RUNNING OUR GOVERNMENT PASS A BILL WHEN NO ONE IN THEIR OFFICE, NONE OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS, NO ONE IN THE COUNTRY, HAS EVEN READ IT??? Sorry for the caps but I am so confused as to how these words seem to fall on deaf ears every time they are uttered. Is Obama so popular that it doesn't matter what he or his cronies do? We just look the other way every time we get robbed. Well, the election proved that we are not living in a country where anyone is informed enough to understand the dynamics of our government much less our economy, at least not the majority of us.

Consider the bailout that was the "SOLUTION" to our economic crisis. All it has done is create a vacuum in which these executives, who have raped and pillaged the companies they worked for, are allowed to operate with no fear of consequence regardless of the quality of their decision making. I know I am debating ideas that are moot at this point, but it has be said in this context to ensure the foundation is laid for the Theory I am about to present.

I believe this was planned. Yep, you read it right, PLANNED! During the great depression, one of the first things the democratic leaders did was raise taxes on the rich. Obama has articulated throughout his campaign that he wishes to do the same. Well, in this day and age with the media outlets disseminating information immediately, raising taxes on the rich to the extremes of that era will not be easily done unless some sort of class warfare is created. So here's what they are doing. During the free-for-all collection of sections of the bailout proposal, a moral and almost insanely sensible clause was included. It stated that companies accepting bailout funds should not pay bonuses to employees because they were not financially healthy enough to do so. Well, the decision was made by Senator Dodd to remove this exclusion completely and then add the requirement that all companies were to pay any bonuses contractually agreed to before the bailout was received. Step 1 in the plan. Step 2 was simply pass the bill and wait for one of the companies to OBEY the law and pay bonuses that WERE agreed to before the bailout was accepted. Once they caught one of these companies "RED HANDED" obeying their law, they would start an outcry of shock that these "FAT CATS" were taking tax payer money and doling it out to each other. Step 3 is the kicker. Under the guise of "Trying to recover tax payer money" from the evil executives who dared to follow their law, they suggest a law taxing bonuses of any employee of a company taking bailout money by 90%. Now here is the real doozie. Step 4 is to quietly change the 90% tax on those working for companies taking bailout money to "all publicly traded companies". Now they are working on passing a bill to tax anyone who makes over 250K and gets a bonus form any company publicly owned 90% of their bonuses.

In case you skipped class the day the great depression was discussed, the initial decline was cause by a drop in the twenties of the bottom 80 percent of income earners from tax obligations, beginning the shouldering of all the tax burden by the top 20% of income earners. Once we were in a full blown recession, an effort to raise money and slow the recession in 1932 was made by raising the tax rate on the rich from 25% to 63%. This in turn drove our country into the Great Depression. in 1933 the GDP fell and unemployment rose to an astonishing 24.9%! wow, taxing the rich sure didn't work to pull us out, by the time World War II pulled us out of the great depression, the rich were being taxed as much as 91% in the top tax bracket. Once this was rectified and the higher tax rates were reduced by more than 20% in 1963 America experienced the largest economic boom in it's history to that point.


All I can say is well done. Obama and his crew are smart people, I mean the majority of them never even paid their own taxes until it was the virtual cover charge to get into the old boys club that used to be our government. I fear we are headed down a long and difficult road watching our leaders,(and I use that term loosely), try to play god and shape our country into something contradictory to what our forefathers intended.

Dear Mr. Obama and tax evading Cronies,

I urge you during one of the most trying times we have faced in our nations history, remember the words of George Santayana. "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." remember the effects very similar tactics had on our country in the past. Please find it in your hearts to put the well being of our beloved country before all else and stop robbing our children of the opportunity to live in a prosperous, free America that so many of us veterans have sacrificed for.

I am so confused and disenfranchised... I ONLY GOT TO VOTE ONCE!

Let me start by telling you, I cried on Tuesday the 4th day of November 2008 at approximately 11pm Eastern time. I am a man who volunteered to defend my country BOTH of the last 2 times we went to war. As of Tuesday the 4th day of November 2008 at approximately 11pm Eastern time this country is threatened by the one person responsible for her wellbeing. We have elected a man to lead her and her people that would have been otherwise denied access to secret documents in our government. Obama is unable to recieve a security clearance because of past associations and questionable company kept over the years, yet our people saw fit to give him a free pass, regardless of his criminal tendencies.

Well, here we are. I may never understand how we got here but now there are bigger problems.

We have elected a leader who has openly admitted that he has goals that are geared towards destroying the very fabric of the USA. He even openly said in a radio interview that the Constitution of the United States was a "constraint" on the members of the Warren court. He stated that they did not "break free" of these constraints in order to legislate in order to impliment "redistribution of wealth" principals. His OWN WORDS state that he believes that the Constitution of the United States is hindering our country from moving in a socialist direction. This is not my opinion, this is FACT. Obama said it!!

Let's have a little review. The responsibility of the Supreme Court - To interpret the laws put in place by the constitution and those in the legislature for the purpose of trials and setencing. NOT TO LEGISLATE NEW BILLS!!!!!!

Obama shows that he has contempt for the United States and the principals it stands for by making these statements. Our country is filled with veterans who have sacrificed their lives in many ways to support and defend this wonderful document that Obama believes is a constraint on our society. Man how I would love to hear what our founding fathers would have to say to him about this, not to mention every past and present service member who has sworn to defend and uphold the constitution at any cost.

I have stated in other blogs, the case for him being a marxist. What I do not understand at this point is how so many people in our country completely ignore FACTS. So many examples of Obama incriminating himself on RECORD, whether it be video or audio. What drug is the 52% of the population that voted for Obama taking that made them able to ignore the FACTS ON VIDEO AND AUDIO? I want some, NO, I need some so I can make it through the next 4 years. I will pray for our country daily. Praying that the right decisions are being made in washington and praying that Obama does not push things to a point that causes Americans to demonstrate the reasons behind the right to bear arms. May we not have to defend ourselves on our own soil, against our own government, ever again. I love my country, I fear what evil men such as Obama will do to her.

Why isn't character an issue?

This presidential election has been littered with, if not tainted by the issues regarding the character of the men involved. I want to start with the easy one, John McCain.

Senator McCain has been accused of taking action based on the business interests of his father-in-law. These accusations are baseless attempts to discredit his character. understanding that courting and marrying a woman has some level of involvement with her family is common sense and is a ridiculous basis for accusation of favoring them with policy.



Senator McCain has been accused of participating in corrupt practices involving the savings and loan scandal in the eighties. After extensive investigation by the Senate Ethics Committee he was found to be free of wrong doing. This is a man who has faithfully served our country in countless ways for nearly his entire life.



Sarah Palin has been the victim of many malicious attacks. She has been accused of accepting money for the "Bridge to nowhere" and using it for other purposes in her state. The truth is she did exactly this. HOWEVER, only after the budget for the bridge to nowhere was nearly doubled and she was left with the difficult task of making the correct decision that $400 million was excessive to spend to give 50 residents access to an airport, coupled with the federal governments decision at that time to reallocate those same funds as highway funding. Since when is it wrong to realize upon further investigation of a project that an amount to be spent for something is excessive and decide to nix it and use the money the way the feds tell you to? There are barely 50 people living on the island that it was to give airport access to. Even most liberals would have a hard time justifying an expenditure of that magnitude for 50 residents.

Next is my favorite. Sarah Palin is accused of "using state money to fly her family". The elite media are the kings of omission. The fact is Sarah Palin did use state money to fly her family. It is not uncommon for the first family to fly with the governer on trips. What is omitted from these reports is that she charged commercial tickets to the state for her family because she sold the private jet in the interest of saving the Alaskans' money and the result was a $400,000 savings for the state. So, her behavior was no different than any other governer except that she flew commercial rather than squandering tax money on a private jet.

I won't even dignify the wardrobe issue with a response.

Ok, now the fun part, Barack Obama... I am writing here in the interest of being thorough and factual. It is difficult, given that I am writing this in my spare time, to document everything. I will do my best to be inclusive of the relevant and necesary facts.

I believe most voters are misunderstanding the point behind the questions raised about Obama's associations. Associations with Ayers are not questioned because anyone believes Obama is a domestic terrorist. Rather this is a recognition of the kind of dangerous person he has kept company with.

Associations with Rezko have been questioned not because anyone believes Obama has shaken down or extorted businesses for political contributions, but because this is the record of Antoin Rezko. Obama's friend, neighbor and business associate.

Associations with the Trinity United Church of Christ and it's now former pastor, Jeremiah Wright have not been questioned because there is any evidence that Obama is racist or a hate monger. They are raised because that is the kind of person he has chosen as his spiritual leader and advisor in what he calls his christian faith. I have listened to sermons of the reverend and, not that I am qualified in any theological sense, but they don't sound anything like the christianity I was raised on.

All these associations do not speak necesarily to who Obama is or what he believes, although that is left for speculation. But these do raise the question as to his judgement in choosing to surround himself with racist, hateful, criminal, mafia-like, terrorist types. My momma always told me, "Lie down with dogs, rise up with fleas." Senator Obama needs to clean up, we don't need him dragging those kinds of fleas onto the Oval office rug.

One of the primary qualities necessary for a leader is good judgement. Given these associations, we have to wonder what kind of poor judgement calls Obama might make as our commander in chief. Please remember, the global community will not be as forgiving as the American media.

Now, how truthful has Obama been? In his book, he talks about how he is the son of a goat herder. Truth is his grandfather, Hussein Obama, was a wealthy farmer and his father was a child of privilidge. He has claimed that his name is of African descent, truth is his name is Arabic-Muslim. Barack, (Baracka as his grandfather intended for his father), actually means "blessed" in Arabic. It is a Koranic name.

Why is Obama lying about his heritage? Where is the rest of his family? He has misrepresented his parents and seemingly deleted his remaining family from his past. What is he trying to hide? the answer to this question may not be uncovered in time to affect the election but these are important things that the American people deserve to know.

Not to be overlooked, integrity is another important attribute required of good leaders. Senator Obama has done little to display that he has any.

I plead with all of you, vote with your head in this election. I know Barack Obama is likeable, but that will only get him elected, not make him the right man for the job. This is the election for President of the United States, not Mr. Congeniality.

answers for the economy...

We are in a severe recession, not unlike the beginnings of the Great Depression.  Read your history, a similar plan to obama's was called "The New Deal".  Basically saying no matter how hard or how LITTLE you work, the government wants to make sure you have a share of the proverbial pie, earned or not.  Instead of pulling us out of our recession, the plan to artificially suppliment the natural economic cycles actually drove us from our recession deeper into THE GREAT DEPRESSION.  I understand that many of the policies of the New Deal were innovative and overdue for the time.  We still have many of them in force today.  However, the redistribution of money collected by the government to lower income citizens as described in many Keynesian ideals is not the right answer.    Economic principals of a capitalist society are sound and do point to downturns as well as prosperity.  That is the nature of an economy.  We don’t need bigger government, we need to let the economy right itself.  These ideals of "SPREADING THE WEALTH" and giving tax rebates to poor people who don’t even pay taxes, are dangerously within the realm of socialism, defined by http://dictionary.reference.com as: a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole, as well as:the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.  THIS IS NOT WHAT AMERICA STANDS FOR, NOR SHOULD ITS CITIZENS OR LEADERS.  We are truly on the brink of a new american revolution, while I prayerfully hope that it does not lead to a conflict of violence, these ideals will inevitably lead to conflict in our country and as our country weakens, conflict globally.  Please think long and hard, about what is RIGHT!  Do not take this vote lightly, the future of our country depends on it.
